Our last expedition was in October of 2017. During that time the Kurdistan Regional Government had a vote for independence that rsulted in a cascade of terrible events. The Iraqi government was in conflict with this action and shut down all access to the Kurdish Autonomous Zone. Because of this we had put a hold on operations and have been patiently waiting to resume our activity.
Now Erbil International has re-opened and our teams are reconnecting with the people on the ground. Much has changed in Kurdistan, and while there is some difficulty in how things are operating, we are discovering that the new situation may enable us even greater access to those ingreater need.
Please be patient as we move forward with our next stage of training for the folks in Kurdistan.
